About this event

Presented By: Chris Flynn, MD

Program Learning Objectives – At the conclusion of this activity participants will be able to:

  • Recognize that some established and some recently introduced psychiatry therapeutics may not be used by pilots who wish to continue to fly - combination medications therapy, medication assisted substance abuse treatment, ketamine, transcranial magnetic stimulation, psilocybin, vagal nerve stimulation, and stellate ganglion nerve block;
  • Utilize your empathy with an airman’s occupational fears of losing their career to decrease the airman’s resistance and increase your diagnostic accuracy; and
  • Apply the knowledge that a wide range of Mental Health conditions in pilots are approved (once in stable remission) for a return to flying by the Federal Aviation Administration.
